Yeh Dil Maange More - Tribute to Capt Vikram Batra

Capt. Vikram Batra

The other day i was at home watching the movie Loc - Kargil on television and i was watching Abhishek Bacchan who was playing the character of Capt Vikram Batra of the 13th Batallion of the Jammu and Kashmie rifles and my mind went back to 5thjuly 1999 when i was travelling to pune from aurangabad and i heard the news on the radio of my car that pt 4875 has been captured by the brave jawans of the D company of the JK rifles led by Capt Vikram Batra. But 2 days later the same Capt vikram Batra died while defending pt 4875.The zeal and passion these young army officers have for their country leaves me amazed. These are the real indian heroes who make such great sacrifices for their country which remian unnoticed.Capt Vikram Batra gave the famous catchline Yeh Dil Maange More during the Kargil war , a line which summed up the determination of the indian troops during the Kargil War.The other day when i saw Gen Musharraf watching the cricket match between India and Pak at Delhi , i wondered what sort of thoughts must have crossed the minds of the family memebers of the soldiers who laid down their lives for the sake of the country during the Kargil war.Their sons , husbands , brothers died while fighting for the country and here the indian politicians are giving a grand welcome to the man who started the Kargil war and was in a way responsible for the death of their husbands , sons , brothers. After all this can happen only in India where we are insensitive towards our armed forces.

yeah....u r rite... soldiers like Captain r being forgotten very easily.....Because people do remember which movie of Shahrukh was a flop but why wud they even listen to a news about a martyr!!when u tel them about their sacrifice, people discuss them... feel sorry for a while, n then back to their cozy lives...bt they dont even think for a while ...that they are surviving on this earth peacefully just because ...some where a mother lost her child, a family lost its loved one!!
